Ajax Cape Town confirmed that the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee on Thursday dismissed the protests filed against them by Orlando Pirates and Polokwane City.

The sides logged a protest against the Urban Warriors for fielding Tendai Ndoro at the beginning of 2018, after the striker arrived at Ikamva in the January transfer window.

The Buccaneers and Rise and Shine both questioned the Zimbabwean’s eligibility to play for the Urban Warriors. The PSL clubs said that the strikers’ appearances for Ajax were against Fifa transfer rules, which state a player cannot represent three clubs in one season.

The former Chicken Inn and Mpumalanga Black Aces forward departed Milutin Sredojević’s team last year for Saudi Arabian side, Al Faisaly. Another move came quickly for the player who joined the Cape Town-based outfit in January — his third club of the season.

The Zimbabwean has subsequently featured for the relegation-threatened side on seven occasions,  including one match in the Nedbank Cup against the Buccaneers. This prompted the clubs to protest Ndoro’s move to the mother city to the PSL DC.

Ajax then took to their Twitter page to announce that the protests have gone in their favour as they look to focus on their fight for survival.
