Orlando Pirates will jet off to Namibia to participate in the Dr Hage Geingob Cup ahead of the new season.

The Buccaneers will meet fellow Absa Premiership side Mamelodi Sundowns, who are set to give Sibusiso Vilakazi his debut, in a semi-final at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek on Saturday.

The winner of the first semi-final will play either Tigers FC or African Stars in the final the following day.

Head Coach Muhsin Ertugral will be taking a full strength team as he continues to prepare his charges for what promises to be a tightly contested 2016-17 campaign, reports the Orlando Pirates website.

The Sea Robbers recently played against National First Division side Royal Eagles at the Orlando Stadium. Pirates came from a goal down to win the match 3-1 with goals from midfielder Luvuyo Memela and a second-half brace from striker Tendai Ndoro.

The fixture against Sundowns match will help Ertugral to work on various aspects of the Buccaneers game and look at ways to improve the team before the 2016-17 season starts.

Kick-off has been set for 16:00.
