Ajax Cape Town striker Nathan Paulse urged supporters to get behind the club when they welcome Mamelodi Sundowns in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.

The veteran striker wants Ajax supporters to come out in numbers as they seek their second win in the Absa Premiership this season against Pitso Mosimane’s side at the Cape Town Stadium.

‘Look, we have the best supporters and I am sure they will come to witness this one,’ Paulse told the Ajax Cape Town website.

‘This is one of the biggest games in the city and welcoming Sundowns always presents a chance to play good football.

‘So, my call to the supporters is that they must come in numbers and support the team.’

The 34-year-old is confident his side can turn their form around on Wednesday and get back to their best.

‘We know they have always stood behind us, we want to keep going and turn the corner against one of the best teams in the country.

‘The confidence is now coming back although there is still a long way to go. We are going to back to our best as we now play the old Ajax style.’

Ajax Cape Town against Mamelodi Sundowns kicks off at 19:30.
