Orlando Pirates interim coach Augusto Palacios has confirmed that Oupa Manyisa, Jackson Mabogkwane and Edwin Gyimah were left out of the squad due to their respective injuries.

Manyisa returned to the Buccaneers squad this season after spending 10 months sidelined with an ankle injury was sidelined during their 2-2 draw with Highlands Park on Sunday.

The 64-year-old has confirmed that Manyisa, Jackson Mabogkwane and Edwin Gyimah were also left out of the squad due to their respective injuries.

‘Oupa is suffering from a hamstring injury. Makola has a toe injury also,’ Palacios said.

‘Jackson had a pain in the back after the game against Baroka and hence was not available for selection. The same with Gyimah who is also having pain in the back.’

Orlando Pirates will now take on Maritzburg United in the Absa Premiership on 13 December.

The match at Harry Gwala Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
