Kaizer Chiefs defender Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya has urged his side to remain focused as they prepare to take on an unpredictable Cape Town City side in the Nedbank Cup on Sunday.

The Glamour Boys are set to welcome Cape Town City to the Mbombela Stadium when the two sides lock horns in the quarter-final of the Nedbank Cup.

Amakhosi made their way into the last eight after claiming a 3-0 victory over the Magic FC, while the Citizens progressed following their 3-0 win over Highlands Park in the previous round of fixtures.

‘It’s a crucial game,’ Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya told his club’s official website. ‘We want to progress to the next stage.’

‘We are the better side. We totally dominated them in our last match, despite losing 1-0. That’s not going to happen again. We just have to play our normal game and take our chances.’

The 22-year-old has expressed his determination to win a piece of silverware with the senior team after winning the MultiChoice Diski Shield with Chiefs’ reserve team last season.

‘I want to feel that joy inside of winning a major trophy with the first team,’ he added.

‘It’s important to stay humble and focused. It’s dangerous to be all over the place.

‘That’s also why, if we don’t train in the afternoon, I will do a gym session for myself. I want to work hard on becoming a better player every day,’ the defender concluded.

Kaizer Chiefs against Cape Town City kicks off at 3pm.
