Bloemfontein Celtic have confirmed that a deal has been struck for the signing of former Free State Stars forward Moeketsi Mvula.

Mvula will allegedly sign a three-year deal with side and is expected to slot straight into their starting lineup for the club’s next match, which ironically sees him face his former club.

Mvula had not made an appearance for Stars in the last three seasons, however, having been loaned to FC Cape Town in each of the last three campaigns.

News of the signing was confirmed by Celtic’s CEO Khumbulani Konco.

‘Yes, he has signed with us but unfortunately I can’t give you contract details,’ Konco told KickOff.

Mvula made 29 appearances for FC Cape Town last season scoring three times and assisting once. Meanwhile, the Free State Derby between Stars and Celtic is set to take place at Goble Park on September 14.

Kick-off is 19:30.
