Kaizer Chiefs have secured the service of defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele from Mamelodi Sundowns on a three-year deal.

According to an official at Amakhosi, the 26-year-old has agreed terms with Chiefs after the defender declined a new contract at Chloorkop.

‘It’s a done deal. It’s a three-year contract. He is amongst the new players to be unveiled tomorrow,’ the source told KickOff.com.

Mphahlele, who’s contract with Sundowns set to expire at the end of the month was free to negotiate with both teams.

It looked as if Mphahele was going to remain at Sundowns despite Chiefs interest, but the player has opted to join Amakhosi instead.

The Glamour Boys are expected to announce their new singing at a press conference on Monday.

This season Mphahele has helped Sundowns to win the Telkom Knockout and Absa Premiership title, scoring two goals from 27 appearances in all competitions.
