Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung feels honoured to have been re-elected to the National Soccer League executive committee.

The Glamour Boys’ chairman retained his position alongside chairman Irvin Khoza, who was elected unopposed at the Quadrennial General Meeting.

The 72-year-old was honoured by his re-election and congratulated chairman Khoza and the other committee members.

‘I would like to thank the voting members for this honour of continuing to serve football in this capacity,’ Motaung told the Kaizer Chiefs website.

‘Special congratulations to Dr Irvin Khoza on his re-election as chairman.

‘Every election is interesting and this one was no different. I wish to congratulate Mato Madlala, Stanley Matthews, David Thidiela, Jose Ferreira, Dr Rejoice Simelane and Khumbulani Konco, who were all elected to serve in the committee and wish them everything of the best.’

The new executive committee will serve a term of four years.
