Mosimane, staff split R1m bonus

Mamelodi Sundowns manager Pitso Mosimane and his technical team will share R1-million in prize money as a bonus for claiming the Premiership title this season. 

The team were triumphant by a massive 14 point margin in the Premiership, while the side also claimed the Telkom Knockout this term. With the team’s winnings amounting to R10-million, Mosimane and his technical team are due a 10 percent cut, which banks them a R1-million payout.

‘They have already been informed about the decision that the money will be shared. I am not quite sure about the players and how the money will be shared, but what I know and have heard is that the technical team will get 10 percent of the total prize money,’ a source told SoccerLaduma.

‘With almost every cup trophy that the team has won, the players and the technical team share the prize money and it’s going to be the same with the league prize money,’ added the source.

Sundowns mey net claim further glory this term as the side are still a part of the Caf Champions League. The side were victorious 2-0 over ES Setif in their first match of the Group Stage on Saturday.
