Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says it is crucial for his side not to concede an away goal when they welcome Zamalek to the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.

The Brazilians will now welcome the White Knights in the Caf Champions League first leg and Mosimane feels that this competition has taken them out of their comfort zone.

The 52-year-old says it is important for his side to get an away goal and also not to concede at home in the first leg.

‘Our plan is simply unfolding,’ Mosimane told the Mamelodi Sundowns website.

‘We played against Zamalek home and away and won both games. It is all about the mentality – how we think about it. We have a fair chance home and away, but critically, it is important to score away and to make sure our opponents do not score on our home ground.’

Mosimane believes the spirit in the camp is high at the moment and he says the players have put their defeat in the MTN8 finals behind them.

‘They wanted it, and worked hard for it. Congratulations to Gavin Hunt. We have won the domestic league championship and now the big one for us is the Champions League,’ he added.

The match at Lucas Moripe Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
