Chippa United midfielder Joseph Molangoane has been recalled to the club after losing his Dispute Resolution Chamber case.

Molangoane had launched the case on the grounds that he should be allowed to depart from the club following the expiry of his contract but authorities have now determined the player still has two years remaining on his deal with the Chilli Boys.

Molangoane had been keen to quit the club in the hopes of linking up with Kaizer Chiefs, with whom he had allegedly signed a pre-contract agreement.

‘The case was heard this morning and unfortunately he [Molangoane] lost it,’ a source told KickOff. ‘He is now forced to go back to Chippa United.’

Chippa United boss Chippa Mpengesi, meanwhile, has no issue with welcoming Molangoane back into the fold at the club.

‘It’s unfortunate that this matter has to go this route instead of being resolved without going to the DRC. The supporters of Chippa United love Joseph Molangoane and he’s never been chased away from the club,’ said Mpengesi.

‘Our doors are still open for him. If he wants to go we won’t stand in his way. If any team is interested in signing him we are still available to talk.’

The 28-year-old made 20 appearances for Chippa last term, scoring and assisting four apiece.
