Mpumalanga Black Aces midfielder Aubrey Modiba reveals that Deolin Mekoa is one of his toughest opponents his gone up against in the Absa Premiership during the 2015-16 season.

The 20-year-old was recently named Absa Premiership Young Player of the Season and has been selected for Bafana Bafana’s Cosafa Cup squad.

Speaking to SoccerLaduma, Modiba admits that Maritzburg United playmaker Deolin Mekoa is quite a handful.

‘I’d say it was Maritzburg United’s Deolin Mekoa. He gave me a good game. He really plays. Even though I know him from our days together back at the School of Excellence, he still gave me tough time, ha, ha,’ Modiba said.

The former Black Aces youth product has been a reported target for three big name Absa Premiership clubs, following his impressive performance for AmaZayoni this season.

This season Modiba helped his side to a fourth place finish in the Absa Premiership, picking up two assists in 25 appearances.
