Ajax Cape Town has announced the reappointment of Shooz Mekuto as the club’s supporter liaison officer at Ikamva.

The Urban Warriors has enhanced its supporter liaison operations to provide Urban Warrior fans more support, reports the Ajax Cape Town website.

Mekuto expressed his excitement at reuniting with the Urban Warriors and has been impressed with the progression over the past three years.

‘I am thrilled to come back home. It has been a long while but home is where the heart is. Throughout my talks with the club on my possible return, I have been pleasantly surprised by how much progress there has been in the past 3 years,’ Mekuto said

‘I am excited to be reunited with this brand and its plans going forward. I will start my duties on the 1st of July 2016 and to hope to deliver a fun-filled experience to our supporters like never before,’ he added.

The Urban Warriors chief commercial officer Alexi Efstathiou revealed that the clubs will be making exciting signing leading up to the new season.

‘We are making a couple of exciting signings for the new season of which Shooz is one. We welcome him back with open arms and together we will strive to please our existing and loyal fans,’ Efstathiou said.

‘We wish Shooz the best of luck and are sure that he will continue to expand the club’s ever-growing supporter base,’ he added.

During the 2015-16 season, Roger da Sa guided Ajax to a 10th place finish in the Absa Premiership and went on to clinch the MTN8 title after defeat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in the finals.
