SuperSport United remain keen on signing Bafana Bafana midfielder Mandla Masango from Danish side Randers.

Matsatsantsa are keen to strengthen their midfield and will be hoping to lure Masango away from Randers, where he scored six goals from 30 appearances in all competitions last season for the Denmark side.

A source revealed that Stuart Baxters’ side came close to signing Masango during the transfer window but a deal did not materialise, according to Phakaathi.

‘They could have signed him, but the deal fell through because of time constraints. There was not enough time to seal it before the transfer deadline but they are still negotiating and he might come back in January,’ a source said.

Masango has been unsettled in Denmark as he looks to push for a move away from the club.

Over the course of his career, Masango has scored 21 times and has assisted a further 11 goals from 157 appearances in all competitions playing for Kaizer Chiefs and Randers.

On an international level, he has been capped for times for Bafana Bafana and netted four goals since making his debut for South Africa in 2013.
