Mandla Masango’s agent Buddy Farrah has revealed that the player has requested a move away from his Danish side Randers.

The South African midfielder was voted the Player of the Season by the club’s fans for his performances last term, but has declined to comment on the situation, letting his agent do the talking.

‘Mandla has made his intentions very clear to Randers FC. He wants to leave. That’s the only thing I can say at the moment,’ Farrah told tipsbladet.dk.

Randers are reportedly keen to keep a hold of their star asset as the player notched six goals last season and is still contracted to the club for a further two years.

‘It’s something we want to keep internal,’ Randers sports manager Ole Nielsen said.

‘But I want to emphasise that Masango has two years left on his contract and he must, like all other players, be aware of what he has signed.’

Randers are set to kick-off the 2016-17 season when they play Midtjylland on Monday.

The match will be played at the MCH Arena.

Kick-off is at 19:00.
