Cape Town City captain Lebogang Manyama says he is looking forward to his side Telkom Knockout Cup finals against SuperSport United, writes DYLAN APPOLIS.

The 26-year-old admits that he is not astonished that his side are in the finals and he believes his side worked and trained hard to get to where they are at the moment.

‘It’s not surprising, we work hard and I think the one thing that’s worked for us is we work as a team and we work for one another. We compliment each other really well,’ Manyama said ahead of the TKO finals.

‘There are no individual players and no star players in the team, everybody just works for a common goal and that’s worked so far.’

Manyama says he is looking forward to the match but admits that facing an in-form SuperSport side won’t be an easy task.

‘You can see how they doing and how we doing, there is not much of a difference. We’ve had to fight our way to earn respect. As for them (SuperSport United), we know what kind of squad they have, the coach they have and the kind of team they have in terms of the club’s history,’ he added.

‘We know what we up against and you have to give them a lot of respect because they are not here by mistake but they also have to give us respect because we also not here by mistake.

‘Its going to be a really tough game but I’m looking forward to it.

The match at Peter Mokaba Stadium kicks off at 18:00.
