Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka believes his side is ready for the clash against Orlando Pirates, but conceded that a Soweto derby requires more than 100%, writes DEAN WORKMAN.

Pirates and Chiefs do battle at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon as the Amakhosi look to end their recent derby hoodoo.

The Glamour Boys lost all three match-ups against their rivals in 2018, but have shown noticeable improvements since the arrival of Ernst Middendorp towards the end of last year.

Chiefs midfielder Maluleka, who has benefited from the arrival of the German coach, believes that his side are ready for the derby.

‘We are ready, always,’ the midfielder told the media at Naturena on Tuesday.

‘You have to always bring your A game in the matches of this calibre.

‘Less mistakes, and just give it your all. 100 % is not good enough in such matches. For us as players we always go into these matches looking to give it our all, obviously we do not want to disappoint the supporters and our family members.

‘Its going to be a difficult game, but I think we are ready for it,’ concluded Mido.
