Chippa United head coach Dan Malesela has expressed his disappointed with his side’s performance against Platinum Stars in the Absa Premiership.

The high-intensity game ended in a 1-1 draw at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium with the Chilli Boys missing two penalties in either half of the match.

The 51-year-old says his side did not have the hunger to secure all three points and he believes his looked like a team playing away from home.

‘It’s not a good display by ourselves at home, we made a lot of errors in passing the ball, and basic defending mistakes that could have cost us the entire three points,’ Malesela told the Chippa United website.

‘We didn’t look hungry enough for the three points, and did not look like a team that is playing at home and the second penalty we received displayed that. We should have buried the game at that stage.’

The match at Dobsonville Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
