Golden Arrows are close to completing a deal for former Platinum Stars midfielder Letladi Madubanya, according to reports.

The 32-year-old announced his departure from Dikwena after the 2015-16 Absa Premiership season came to a close, after joining the club from Bidvest Wits in 2014, reports KickOff.

‘To all my friend and our supporters, I would like to tell you before you read about it … myself and Platinum Stars have parted ways,’ Madubanya posted on his Facebook page.

‘I would like to thank everyone at the club for their support, thanks to our fans wish u all the best in the coming seasons. From the bottom of my heart … THANK YOU.’

A sources close to the club are confident that the midfielder will reunite with former coach Clinton Larsen Abafana Bes’thende.

‘Arrows are interested in bringing Madubanya on board next season, because he has previously worked with Larsen,’ the source said.

‘I’m sure the deal will materialise soon as the player is currently a free agent.’

This season Madubanya has scored three goals from 23 appearances, helping Platinum Stars secure a third place finish in the Absa Premiership.
