Kaizer Chiefs left back Sibusiso Khumalo believes Amakhosi have received a fair draw in the Telkom Knockout Cup quarter-finals.

Steve Komphela’s side have been drawn against Maritzburg United in the last 16 of the knockout tournament, with the match taking place at the FNB Stadium.

The Glamour Boys will be hoping to continue their good run of form after picking up three consecutive victories in their last three matches.

Khumalo insists that there are no easy draws in the TKO this season and he believes his side know their style of play having already played them in the Absa Premiership this season.

‘It’s a fair draw and no draw is easy,’ Khumalo told the Kaizer Chiefs website.

‘We played against them already in the league,’ he added, ‘so they are not a closed book for us.’

The last 16 draw was conducted on Thursday afternoon at Johannesburg’s Wanderers Clubhouse.

After the international break, Kaizer Chiefs will welcome Ajax Cape Town to the Moses Mabhida Stadium on October 15.

Kick-off has been set for 18:00.
