Bidvest Wits striker James Keene remains uncertain over when he will fully recover from his knee injury.

The 30-year-old has been out of action for four months after knee surgery in the off-season, and his return has yet to be determined.

Keene insists that he will not rush his recovery.

‘I am taking it day by day because there is no [recovery] timeline with this injury,’ Keene told KickOff.com.

‘I had a knee operation while I was back in Sweden during the off-season, and I have been going through the process of recovering.

‘Slowly but surely I am getting back there and I just need to be professional about it. I am doing some work on the pitch now and the club has been fantastic.’

Bidvest Wits take on Platinum Stars in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.

The match at Royal Bafokeng Stadium kicks off at 20:15.
