Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze says his side are ready to compete next season after finishing in third place in the Betway Premiership.

The Glamour Boys ended the campaign on a disappointing note after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Chippa United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban

As a result, Amakhosi finished the 2025-26 Betway Premiership campaign in third place with 54 points.

“I would say we started well the game, got a couple of opportunities to give ourselves confidence to score but we lacked a little bit decision-making, composure. I understand as well a lot of attacking players it was their first time starting a game and you know associated them. As well, when you don’t score you give the opportunity the believe to the opponent team,” Kaze told SuperSport TV.

“We came back in the second half with better intentions to pressing high, we were getting opportunities but unfortunately, we couldn’t score.

“But as well, it’s a game with a lot of experience that we gave to the young players to play in the Premier League to feel how the league is and I’m pretty sure the future is bright for those young players.

“Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the result we wanted but overall good season, even though we didn’t win a trophy. I’m pretty sure next season after the foundation we laid this season, next season we going to be able and very ready to compete for next season,” he concluded.
