Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson believes his side are ready for their next Absa Premiership clash following their two-week break.

After the Chrismas break, Dikwena returned to training on Tuesday ahead of their next Absa Premiership encounter against Orlando Pirates on February 8.

The 58-year-old coach believes his side are ready for action following their two-week break and he believes that it’s crucial to create a balance between improving in the Absa Premiership and participating in the Caf Confederation Cup.

‘Everybody looks like we are ready to go,’ Jonson told the Platinum Stars website.

‘With Afcon break, it gives you a preseason. We are able to do some things positively.

‘We have got to be careful at how we do it because we have got to improve our positioning at home in the PSL. We also want to go to CAF Confederation Cup and prove ourselves there. We have a lot of planning and thinking going on behind the scenes.’

The match at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
