Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson says his side will be out to redeem themselves when they face Orlando Pirates in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday.

Dikwena suffered their first defeat in the Absa Premiership following their 1-0 defeat by newly-promoted side Baroka at the Royal Bafokeng Sports.

Johnson’s charges put pressure on the visitors with countless attacks but Baroka managed to hold on to their lead.

The 57-year-old says his side put pressure on Bakgaga with numerous attacks, however, Baroka held on to their second half lead to collect all three point.

‘We tried everything we could but we couldn’t go past them. It’s not easy. The sad thing is that we saw their deficiency but we never capitalised on it,’ Johnson told Platinum Stars website.

‘We have got to go back and ask ourselves if we really are capable of playing against these teams yes or no.’

The former SuperSport United coach says his side will be out to redeem themselves and will be gunning to claim all three points when they face the Buccaneers.

‘We just have to grind in every game that we play. You know how it is against Pirates, they always try to redeem themselves against the big teams and if they are able to do that, that’s good. It’s going to be a tight one,’ he added.

‘Pirates are on top at the moment and they want to stay at the top. We need to make sure that we try get the points as well.’

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
