Former Ajax Cape Town captain Dominic Isaacs says he backed new coach Stanley Menzo to turn the Urban Warriors’ season around.

The side are still searching for their first win this season and occupy the bottom end of the Absa Premiership standings, with three points from eight PSL matches.

The 34-year-old believes Menzo will bring stability and discipline to the club, while implementing his own coaching philosophies.

‘We need to resort to the old ways of doing things and I think Menzo is that guy,’ he says. ‘I know he’ll bring stability and, more importantly, discipline to the club.

‘I know the coach will employ his Dutch-style of doing things with wide players. Menzo will improve and help the team to overcome their technical challenges.’

Ajax Cape Town welcome Maritzburg United to the Cape Town Stadium in the Absa Premiership this Saturday.

Kick-off has been set for 20:15.
