Former Ajax Cape Town duo Dominic Isaacs and Ashley Hartog are currently training with National First Division side Santos.

The 33-year old was released by NFD side Royal Eagles while Hartog parted ways with Ajax during the off-season.

Santos chairman Goolam Allie confirmed that both Hartog and Isaacs have arrived at the clubs in the hopes of impressing coach Zeca Marques.

‘Yes, Hartog arrived a few days ago while Isaacs joined us today,’ Allie told KickOff.com.

‘One cannot shy away from the fact that they will bring a wealth of experience to the squad. They are very professional and know what is required in the modern game.

The club chairman went on to say that a decision is yet to be made on whether or not the Eagles will offer the experienced pair a permanent contract.

‘We also need to determine how they will impact and add to the balance and depth of the squad – but it’s still early days,’ he added.

‘They shall, however, also be put through their paces as well. The coach (Zeca Marques) is still busy with pre-season preparations and needs to finalise the squad.’
