Ajax Cape Town right back Erwin Isaacs says they don’t fear Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of their Absa Premiership clash at Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday.

Isaacs was recently deployed in the right back position by head coach Stanley Menzo to give the Urban Warriors a more attacking presence. He believes changes in the camp will deliver a positive outcome.

‘One can clearly see the improvements in the team, on and off the field,’ the 29-year-old Isaacs told the Ajax Cape Town website.

‘Things are looking up for us and we would like to end the year on a positive note. We are aware that we are playing the African champions and it’s not going to be easy – even on our home ground.

‘But we don’t fear Sundowns with their big-name players. We have shown in the past that we can give them a run for their money.’

The match kicks off at 19:30.
