Mosimane’s Al Ahly are looking to defend their African crown but need to get Moroccan rivals Esperance in the semi-finals.

Their task was made slightly easier with a 1-0 win in Morocco on Saturday night.

The game eventually got under way and after a tight first half Ahly snatched the lead through Mohamed Sherif before being able to see out the encounter without too much threat on their goal.
