Highlands Park is on the verge of completing a move for Namibian attacking midfielder Hendrik Somaeb ahead of the start of the new season.

The 23-year-old joined Stars from Blue Water in 2014, he managed to score four goals and claiming two assists from 24 matches during his two-year spell at the club.

Ea Lla Koto decided against retaining the services of the midfielder for the upcoming season.

The midfielder has agreed to terms in principle with the newly promoted club and will link up with fellow countryman Peter Shalulile, according to KickOff.com.

‘Somaeb has already agreed terms with Highlands and will most likely be turning out for them in the new season. What has made his move easy is the fact that he is joining as a free agent after being released by Free State Stars,’ said a source.

The Lions of the North are also reportedly interested in signing AmaTuks midfielder Ronald Ketjijere.
