Kaizer Chiefs could complete the signing of a third Chicken Inn player this transfer window having taken 20-year-old centre back Teenage Hadebe on trial.

The defender is believed to have arrived at the club on Monday where he has begun his trial under the watchful gaze of coach Steve Komphela.

The Amakhosi are not short of options at the back but may nevertheless look to make an addition should the Zimbabwean prove to impress. Furthermore, the side recently lost Erick Mathoho to a long term injury and it is believed Hadebe could fill the star’s shoes.

‘Hadebe is a good defender with a good body and skill,’ agent Gibson Mahachi told Zimbabwe’s Chronicle.

‘He left Harare on Sunday and will spend a week at Chiefs. I am confident that he will do his best and impress the coaches at Chiefs.’

The Amakhosi take on Bidvest Wits in their opening game of the Premiership season.

The match will be played at the Bidvest Stadium on August 23.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
