Golden Arrows swoop for Jooste

Former Bloemfontein Celtic defender Wayde Jooste will link-up with former coach Clinton Larsen at Golden Arrows when his Siwelele contract expires.

The 24-year-old who’s contact is set to expires at the end of June decided against renewing his contract with Siwelele before announcing his departure from Phunye Sele Sele.

A source close to the club has since revealed that the 24-year-old will be reuniting with his former mentor Larsen at the Durban club next season, according to KickOff.com.

‘He will be joining Arrows next season to join Larsen, who knows him very well and admires his ability and work ethic,’ says the source.

The defender has made 12 appearances for Phunye Sele Sele in the Absa Premiership this season and will be joining Abafana Bes’thende on a free transfer when his contract expires.

‘He has been issued with his clearance by Celtic and will join the club on a free transfer.’

Jooste made his first senior debut for Phunye Sele Sele in the Absa Premiership debut back in November 2013, since joining from the Celtic youth team.
