Orlando Pirates have confirmed the appointment of Zipho Dlangalala to Muhsin Ertugral’s coaching staff.

Dlangalala has extensive experience in youth development coaching and will be tasked with looking after the Multichoice Diski Challenge team, reports the Orlando Pirates website.

The KwaZulu-Natal-born coach plied his trade in midfield, playing for the likes of Amazulu and African Wanderers before retiring from football to take up a coaching role.

He guided ALS PUK Tawana to their first win in the 2010 Nedbank Cup after defeating Platinum Stars in the opening match before succumbing to defeat by the Buccaneers in the next stage of the competition.

His experience in development coaching speaks for itself, having had a hand in the development of some of the country’s best young players including players like Siyanda Xulu, Keagan Dolly and Mahlatse Makudubela.
