Kaizer Chiefs cast-off Philani Cele is attracting interest from Golden Arrows, Maritzburg United and Royal Eagles, according to his agent.

The Glamour Boys marked Cele as one of seven players they will offload prior to the expiration of their contracts at Naturena. Chiefs, who finished a disappointing 5th in the Absa Premiership this term, are poised to make wholesale changes, with as many as 20 players said to be on their way out of the club.

The 24-year-old Cele may confirm his next destination in the coming days.

‘Look, we are speaking to Golden Arrows, Maritzburg United and Royal Eagles,’ Cele’s agent Lizwe Mthethwa told KickOff.

‘There is plenty of interest but nothing has been finalised now but it is just talks.

‘We will confirm where Cele is going early next week.’

Cele progressed through the AmaZulu youth ranks before his ill-fated move to Chiefs. The player failed to make a single appearance for the Amakhosi in the Absa Premiership this term as he was loaned out to Moroka Swallows, where he started just three games.

The KwaMashu-born player made his first appearance for the Glamour Boys as a substitute against AmaTuks back in December 2013.

The player made just a single start for Chiefs, which came in Caf Confederation Cup, before he was shipped off to Swallows.
