Platinum Stars are edging closer to completing a deal to re-signing defender Luvolwethu Mpeta from SuperSport United.

The left-back is set to re-join Dikwena on a one-year loan deal from United, the side he left Stars for in January 2015, according to KickOff.com.

A source close to Matsatsantsa revealed that Mpeta is expected to start training with Dikwena and has stated that the deal is complete.

‘The deal is as good as done. It’s a loan deal,’ the source said.

Over the course of his career, Mpeta has scored once and assisted three goals from 92 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of SuperSport United and Platinum Stars.

Dikwena has also captured the services of striker Bongi Ntuli from Mamelodi Sundowns on loan for the season.
