Ajax Cape Town assistant coach Mich D’Avray is hoping to build their own style of play during the upcoming international break.

The Urban Warriors recently appointed Stanley Menzo as the new coach and in his first match in charge, his side drew 1-1 with the Free State Stars in the Absa Premiership.

The 54-year-old D’Avray says he will be building an understanding with the squad to help improve their playing style and organisation during the international break.

‘We have our own style as Ajax and this is a perfect opportunity to ensure we enforce and stick to it,’ D’Avray told the Ajax Cape Town website.

‘It comes [the break] at a better time for the new coach and the players to understand each other as we move forward.

‘There are many aspects of the game where technique, style and tactics are involved, and this break gives us a chance to work together according to our structure and strengths.’

When the Absa Premiership returns, Ajax Cape Town will welcome Maritzburg United to the Cape Town Stadium on 19 November.

Kick-off has been set for 20:15.
