South Africa have announced their starting lineup for their Rio 2016 clash against Denmark on Sunday, with coach Owen da Gama issuing two changes.

Da Gama has opted to bring defender Kwanda Mngonyama in for Mothobi Mvala, who is suspended for the game following his red card in the opening round stalemate with Brazil.

A further change to South Africa’s midfield sees Tebogo Moerane preferred to a more attacking option in Menzi Masuku.

There is everything to play for in the contest between the sides given each finds itself on one point from one game played. While South Africa frustrated Brazil in the opening round, Denmark were unable to get past Iraq.

Victory for South Africa would thus go a long way to assuring their qualification ahead of their final game of the group stage against the Iraqis.

The match gets underway at midnight SA time.

South Africa lineup:

Itumeleng Khune, Abbubaker Mobara, Erick Mathoho, Rivaldo Coetzee, Tebogo Moerane, Kwanda Mngonyama, Keagan Dolly, Gift Motupa, Maphosa Modiba, Deolin Mekoa, Lebogang Mothiba.
