Cape Town City  are offering free tickets to City of Cape Town employees for the team opening Absa Premiership matches against Polokwane City at the Cape Town Stadium on Tuesday.

City released a statement which states that the club in collaboration with the City of Cape Town Municipality are offering free tickets for the opening game to any official city worker or employee: Firemen, bus drivers, police, trash collectors, and other public servants.

‘These are the people that keep us safe, our city clean, and make what we do every day possible. Upon presentation of their official city worker ID card at the Computicket Kiosk at Cape Town Stadium from today until kickoff and they will receive 2 free tickets per ID card!

‘A Team for the City’ is not just a catchy slogan. Cape Town City FC is dedicated to empowering and honouring all of our diverse communities that make our city what it is.’

The club who recently handed lifetime season tickets to 30 football legends – was formed two months ago after Comitis bought Mpumalanga Black Aces Absa Premiership status.

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
