Former Orlando Pirates striker Reason Chiloane has announced his retirement from professional football after playing in both the PSL and NFD over the years.

The 34-year-old spent most of his playing career in the National First Division playing for the like of Thanda Royal Zulu, Atlie, and Azziz Kara.

Chiloane has recently been plying his trade with ABC Motsepe League side African Warriors but has now turned his attention on a career in coaching.

The forward has confirmed his retirement from professional football, declaring that his is making way for the more youngest to get their opportunity in the team.

‘I’m currently assistant coach at Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe team, Acornbush Bush United FC. I believe it’s time to say, “Let the young ones take over”,’ Chiloane  told SoccerLaduma.

‘Returning to Bushbuckridge has been marvelous as it’s my way of giving back to the community. You might see us in the NFD next season, as Acornbush kills every team.
