Chippa United have vowed to take legal action against Joseph Molangoane and Kaizer Chiefs following the player’s failure to report for pre-season.

According to Chippa, Molangoane is still contracted to the club for a further two years, while the player has disputed the alleged contract.

With the player and his club embroiled in the dispute Molangoane has opted to train with Kaizer Chiefs instead of the Port Elizabeth side.

Chiefs are reportedly keen on signing the player for the 2016-17 season, while Chippa are insisting the player should stop training with the Glamour Boys, reports SoccerLaduma.

Now, the Chilli Boys are taking legal action. Despite having already accepted the player is set to depart the club, Chippa are insisting any side the player joins are subject to shelling out a transfer fee for his services.

Molangoane’s original contact with the club had been set to expire in June, while the club and the player are disputing whether or not a 2-year extension was officially agreed last season.

Molangoane made 20 appearances for Chippa in the Premiership last term.
