Kaizer Chiefs are planning to make a move for unwanted Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Lebohang Mokoena.

The 29-year-old will leave Chloorkop following a seven-year spell with the club, scoring eight goal from 62 appearances for Sundowns.

A Goal source within the Amakhosi camp has revealed that Mokoena could be on his way to Naturena on a free transfer ahead of next season.

‘Chiefs are interested and the player is considering the move. At this point in time, it looks very likely that Cheeseboy will be a Chiefs player next season,’ the source said.

In recent weeks Amakhosi have announced the released a total of 20 players from their squad following an unsuccessful first season under coach Steve Komphela.
