Cape Town City have confirmed that they will make their professional Absa Premiership home fixture against Polokwane City August 23.

The Cape Town club, who purchased Mpumalanga Black Aces Absa Premiership status at the end of last season and relocated to the Mother City, take on Rise and Shine at the Cape Town Stadium.

City have recently announced a number of new signings, including the likes of Shaquille Abrahams, Duncan Adonis, Never Ngcuka, Ebrahim Seedat, Australian Matt Sim and Austrian Roland Putsche.

Head Coach Eric Tinkler says that the club is expected to announce new arrivals in the coming days.

Cape Town City will also take on Kaizer Chiefs in the quarterfinals of the MTN8 tournament, though the date for that fixture has yet to be announced.

Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
