FC Cape Town have confirmed that Zimbabwean midfielder Marshall Munetsi will join Orlando Pirates.

The Buccaneers are expected to unveil the young Zimbabwean as one of the new signings ahead of the 2016-17 Absa Premiership season.

According to SoccerLaduma, the Buccaneers are believed to have paid the Cape Town-based National First Division outfit in the region of R2 million for the services of the highly rated player.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been likened to showing similarities to that of Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, big‚ strong‚ mobile and a good passer of the ball.

He made his professional debut in September 2015, during his side’s 3-1 defeat against Black Leopards and scored his first goal in a derby match against Milano United in April.

Munetsi will join the like of Thabiso Kutumela and James Okwuosa on the list of players joining the Buccaneers for the 2016-17 season.
