New Kaizer Chiefs signing Keagan Buchanan has started training with the side following his recovery from a knee injury.

The midfielder, who was signed from Bloemfontein Celtic in spite of the problem, is edging closer to his full debut for the club, which is likely to come when Steve Komphela’s men take on Platinum Stars on September 14.

The 25-year-old confirmed his return to training on his official Twitter page on Tuesday, while also commenting he was feeling back to his best.

Buchanan’s return to fitness is a welcome boost for Chiefs as the side have started the season off on the wrong foot. The Glamour Boys were defeated in their opening Premiership game of the season and followed that up with a loss to Cape Town City in the MTN8.

Buchanan made 12 appearances for Celtic last term before suffering his injury.
