Orlando Pirates were forced to play out to a 1-1 draw with Baroka at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday evening.

Bakgaga started the match off brightly in the opening exchanges and forced Pirates goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane into making a seventh minute save when Massa pounced on a loose ball in the area before smashing a shot at the near post.

The Buccaneers then had a chance of their own when Tendai Ndoro found space to shoot but the striker could only hit the side-netting with his effort.

Baroka  had a golden opportunity to go ahead in the match when Matloga only had the goalkeeper to beat but Mabokgwane to stop his shot in time.

However, after the restart, Pirates broke the deadlock in the 48th minute when Justice Chabalala latched onto the ball from a corner kick to hand his side the lead.

Baroka came close to leveling matters around the hour mark when Mahshe’s headed effort from a corner kick was guided just wide of the target.

In the dying moments of the match, Bakgaga levelled matters when goalkeeper Masuluke came forward to join his side for a corner before scoring with an acrobatic overhead kick which found the back of the net as the two side’s shared the spoils in the Absa Premiership.
