Baroka CEO Morgan Mamilla has revealed that his side is interested in signing Ugandan forward Geoffrey Massa from Bloemfontein Celtic.

The Bakgaga boss insists that the only player from the Absa Premiership that he is will to sign is the Ugandan forward.

‘We don’t want players that were released by their teams, in fact, I don’t want any PSL player, the only PSL player I’m looking to sign is Geoffrey Massa,’ Mamilla told KickOff.com.

‘Bringing him here won’t be easy but don’t rule it out yet, it might still happen.’

Mamilla admitted that the newly promoted side are waiting on Massa to resolve his financial issues with Siwelele before signing him.

‘I have been talking to him since last year actually. The reason he didn’t have a good season at Celtic is because he didn’t play much last season. He only played eight games [seven league starts, five subs] and scored two goals,’ he added.

‘He is currently back in the country, we are only waiting for him to sort out his financial issues with Celtic then we will sign him. He has personally agreed to give us a first option to sign him.’

During his time in South Africa, the 30-year-old has managed to score 17 times and created six assists from 102 appearances playing for the likes of Jomo Cosmos, AmaTuks, and Celtic.
