Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen has confirmed that left back Lehlohonolo Nonyane has signed for the club.

The 45-year-old coach helped his side to a ninth place finish in the Absa Premiership last season and falling one place short of securing a spot in the MTN8 tournament for the 2016-17 season.

Larsen says Nonyane completed his move to Arrows after securing his release from Cape Town City via the Premier Soccer League’s Dispute Resolution Chamber, according to KickOff.com.

‘Yes, there was something that was holding him up and he was cleared in the DRC in Johannesburg which he attended. So he is our player now,’ Larsen said.

‘He’s one of the players that we have been waiting for now, to finish what we wanted and I’m excited to have him. We have signed (Clifton) Miheso, the Kenyan Danny Phiri, Limbikani Mzava and Lerato Lamola.’

The former Bloemfontein Celtic coach also confirmed Colombian striker Jesus Barrios has been training with Abafana Bes’thende for the past two weeks alongside trialist Helder Pelembe.

Last season for Mpumalanga Black Aces, Nonyane scored twice and assisted a further four from 26 appearances in  all competitions.
