Ajax Cape Town head coach Roger de Sa has promoted seven youth academy players for the upcoming season.

The Urban Warriors has returned to training to get their pre-season preparations underway at Ikamva, where Roger De Sa and his technical team will put the youngsters through their paces.

Ajax has welcomed the likes of Mich D’Avray, Eric Chipeta, and Joaquin Lupeta, while seven youngsters have been handed a senior contract at the club.

‘We look forward to laying a solid foundation for the new season,’ reports the Ajax Cape Town website.

‘We also welcome the recently promoted players Darren Johnson, Sergio Kammies, Shane Saralina, Grant Margeman, Masilake Phohlongo, Luthando Matheza and Mogamat May to the PSL squad and wish them the best of luck for the season ahead.’

Last season the Urban Warrior finished 10th in the Absa Premiership and clinched the MTN8 title during their 1-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the finals under coach Roger de Sa.
