The Premier League continues to thrill fans around the world and week 25 is unlikely to be any different as Spurs travel to face Liverpool, writes DEAN WORKMAN.

Seven things to expect from this weekend’s Premier League action:

1. Liverpool’s tough 2017 to continue

The Reds take on Tottenham Hotspur this weekend at Anfield on a dreadful run of form. Jurgen Klopp’s men suffered a damaging 2-0 defeat last weekend against Hull City leaving them still without a league win in 2017. Spurs, on the other hand ,overcame Middlesbrough in a tight fixture to remain second on the log. Expect Liverpool’s torrid start to the year to continue as they are likely to drop more points this weekend.

2. Chelsea to edge closer to the title

After a resounding 3-1 win over Arsenal last weekend, Chelsea go into their clash with Burnley at Turf Moor high in confidence with the title waiting on ice. The Blues, who sit at the top of the table 9 points ahead of second place Spurs, could extend their lead even further this weekend if results go their way. With Antonio Conte’s men seemingly edging closer to the title by the week, expect that trend to continue this weekend with them claiming another three points.

3. Hull to fight on

Just three weeks ago The Tigers were seemingly destined to go down but two unexpected results in their last two games, a draw against Manchester United and a shock victory over Liverpool, has reignited their survival fight. They travel to the Emirates this weekend to take on a wounded Arsenal side. The Gunners have lost their last two games and will be expecting a response this weekend, however with confidence at a low, expect Marcos Silva’s men to put in yet another high-class defensive display and get another important result in their pursuit to avoid the drop.

4. Gabriel Jesus to continue dream start

The young Brazilian has made a dream start to life at Manchester City, scoring three goals and grabbing an assist in just two games. His side take on Bournemouth this weekend at Dean Court, with the Cherries suffering a heavy 6-3 defeat last time out. Expect Jesus to continue his fine form and get his name on the score sheet yet again. Is this the end of the road for Sergio Aguero at City?

5. Swansea to push Leicester towards danger

The champions title defence is not going according to plan. If last season was a dream for the Foxes this season is a nightmare as they sit just one point off the relegation zone and in poor form. They take on relegation rivals Swansea this weekend at the Liberty Stadium in a proverbial six-pointer. Swansea who put in a good performance against Manchester City last weekend and are in resurgent form, expect them to beat the champions and possibly push them towards the dreaded drop.

6. Palace free fall to continue

When Crystal Palace appointed Sam Allardyce as their new manager they would have expected a turn around in fortunes. It has not gone according to plan and that was epitomised by their embarrassing 4-0 home loss to basement dwellers Sunderland last weekend. The Eagles travel to the Bet365 to take on Stoke side who have been in good form. Expect the Potters to pile more pressure on Allardyce by handing them another defeat with Allardyce future getting bleaker by the week.

7. Everton to keep pressure on top 6

Ronald Koeman’s men travel to the Riverside Stadium to take on Middlesbrough this weekend. The Toffees have been in red hot form and will be looking to close the gap on the league’s top six. Although Boro are in the relegation scrap and will be desperate for the points, expect Everton to be too strong for them and claim all three points.
