Rain on day three at Newlands

The start of day three at Newlands has been delayed significantly due to rain.

The first Test between South Africa and India is unlikely to resume before tea. It was raining heavily at Newlands at 10:30, pushing back the scheduled starting time for the day’s play. There were large pools of water on the covers and in some parts of the outfield.
