Kagiso Rabada will be back for the third Test at The Oval, to take on the side he’s enjoyed the most success against.

After serving a match ban for accumulating four demerit points, the 22-year-old will be fired up to continue the Proteas’ winning momentum, after their demolition job of England in the second Test.

In his 18-match Test career, Rabada’s wickets tally against England is far superior to his total against other sides. The speedster has picked up 28 scalps @ 23.39 in four matches played against them, more than double his tally against New Zealand who he’s played five matches against.

Rabada notched up his best innings figures (7-112) and his best match figures (13-144) against England, in South Africa’s 280-run win in the dead rubber fourth Test at Centurion in 2016.

His figures in this Test is still the second best by a South African, with only Makhaya Ntini (13-132) recording better in his match against the West Indies in 2005. It is also the best figures by a Proteas bowler on SA soil.

Being 20 at the time, he also became the youngest South African to take a 10-wicket haul.

This will be Rabada’s fifth encounter against England, as he looks to add to his magnificent record against the hosts, in the third Test against England which starts on Thursday.
